November News
The kids looked great in the Halloween costume parade. A BIG thank you to all the parents who made our Halloween party a success.

November is shaping up to be a busy month as well. I am looking forward to seeing all of you at conferences. It should be a good opportunity to get to know each other a little better. The week after conferences, we’ll be talking about the letter “I”. During that week we’ll be doing a lot of Thanksgiving crafts and focusing on the Native American (Indian) contribution to our Thanksgiving. The following week we will discuss other aspects of Thanksgiving as we study the letter “T”. On Tuesday before Thanksgiving we will be having a Native American storyteller and our “Thanksgiving Feast”. We’d like to have a “regular” T-day dinner – minus the turkey. Many of you have already signed up to bring goodies. Thank you in advance for whatever you contribute! Ideally we’d like all the kids to have someone special to share their feast with (a parent, grandparent or family friend.) Our “feast” will be on Tuesday November 24th at about 11:00 (you should be receiving an invitation soon.)

Good news! We will be starting “Star-of-the-Week” after conferences. The children will be assigned a random week (I pick names out of a hat) which is negotiable if that week is not good for you. The list and an explanation letter will be sent next week.
