What Parents Need to Know:

SUMMER MEDICALS: If your child has re-enrolled for next year, and has a medical expiring in late May, June, July, August or September, you will need a new medical examination and form for your child. Please ask in the office for a copy or download from our website- sumcns.org. It’s listed under ENROLLMENT.  Also, if you have a sibling who has previously not attended, we need to see an original birth certificate for that child.
You may send the signed and completed medical form to us as soon as the exam is done. We will file for next fall.

The year has flown, the children grown,! We've had much fun... BUT WE'RE NOT DONE!
Remember that you will FIND AND PRINT YOUR FORMS ONLINE.
No Medical or Enrollment/Emergency forms will be mailed in August. Find them atsumcns.org.
If you are re enrolling a child who is here this year, you DO NOT NEED A NEW ENROLLMENT FORM, unless there are MANY CHANGES in your information. You will update and initial the one you completed in the fall of 2009.

CONCERNING CLASSES FOR FALL:
ENRICHMENT: IF YOU CHOSE AN EXTRA ENRICHMENT SESSION FOR YOUR CHILD, YOU SHOULD NOW HAVE RECEIVED YOUR BILL FOR 2010-11. This amount is due by May 7, 2010. IF YOU DID NOT RECEIVE YOUR BILL, please check with the office to be certain your child is on our list. If you wish to enroll your child, we do have openings!
YEAR-END & CLOSING CEREMONIES-This is an informal sharing time with parents. We hope you can all come. See your class newsletter for times. Children whose year-end ceremonies are scheduled will be dismissed immediately after the "ceremonies" on that day only. Please be aware of how this timing may affect younger or older siblings AND those in your carpool whose year end ceremonies are on the same day.   Remember, the last days of preschool are Monday, May 17th, Tuesday, May 18th & Wednesday, May 19th. See Kindergarten News for their separate schedule.

MAY TUITION is due by April 30 for some families who entered school after September or who changed number of days of attendance. In doubt? Ask Mrs. White in the office.

FALL TUITION: As in the past, we ask that you pay for both Sept. and May in Sept. Please plan to bring your
check book to your child's Get Acquainted Day in early September. Wasn't it nice this year not to have to pay tuition in May? This helps us purchase fall supplies, too.

HELP US GROW!
We have a few openings for most ages (3-5) for next year. We appreciate your referrals! Please continue to tell your friends and neighbors about us.

SCHOOL CALENDAR FOR 2010 begins this way
EARLY AUGUST: School newsletter arrives with startup information, AND a VERY IMPORTANT LETTER FROM YOUR CHILD'S TEACHER. All parents of children in classes for 3, 4 and 5 year olds will receive a LETTER inviting them to one of two days of GET ACQUAINTED MEETINGS. IT IS VITAL THAT YOU ATTEND ONE OF THESE MEETINGS as there is not room in our calendar for a makeup date.

Parents of two year olds will receive a letter and a telephone call from your child's teacher to confirm the meeting time for you. Parents of 3's, 4's, 5's and K will also be called to verify enrollment. Please have someone available to accept this call. If your plans change over the summer and you will move, PLEASE CALL OR WRITE US AS SOON AS YOU KNOW. Others on our waiting lists are eager to enroll and can do so only when an opening occurs. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!
                                                            For Get Acquainted Days:
Half of the 3, 4, and 5 year old children will come at a time on each of two dates. Parents will have a short meeting while children settle in. Children and parents will be at school this day for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Plan to be prepared to pay Sept.+ May tuition.

If this is your child’s first year with us, please bring your home printed and completed Enrollment/Emergency form and the medical form completed by your child’s doctor. Please also bring an original birth certificate.

If your child is reenrolled from this past year, please bring the updated medical form if your child had a new physical exam this summer.  You will update this child’s Enrollment/ Emergency form at the meeting.
