NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER
ROOM 250
Dear Parents,
November is sure to be a busy month here at preschool. We start off with conferences on Nov. 2nd and 3rd. Attached is a copy of the conference sign up sheet to serve as a reminder. Remember that your child will only come to school on the day of your conference. Everyone will come to school on Thursday, Nov. 4th. Please remember we need to stay on schedule to allow enough time for all conferences. We are anxious to share your thoughts and ideas.
During this month the children will also enjoy the Thanksgiving Feast with Mrs. Wightman’s class. Our Feast is on Tuesday, Nov. 23rd. Look for a sign up sheet posted on our hallway bulletin board if you would like to volunteer items for the feast.
As our mornings are getting chillier, please remember to dress your child for the weather. As long as the temperature is about 32 degrees (or above) and dry, we will head outdoors to play.
Also, please continue encouraging your child to use the restroom just before you leave home in the morning. Should your child need to go at drop-off time, please walk him or her in to take care of their needs.

Nov 2- 4 Our letter of the week is C. We will be going “camping” this week in our
classroom. We will also paint with marshmallows and make pretend binoculars.
Nov. 9 - 11 Our letter of the week is R. We will do a unit surrounding the book, Rosie Walks. We will spend the week learning about directional words and creating a new traveling book.
Nov. 16 - 18 Our letter of the week is N. We will make our Pilgrim hats and bonnets as we learn about Thanksgiving and prepare for our feast. We will also look at how the Native Americans drew symbols to communicate and use some of these to decorate our placements for the feast.
Nov. 23 Native American Storyteller and Thanksgiving Feast. No school on Wednesday or Thursday. Happy Thanksgiving!
