Three's MF 259-AM
NOVEMBER 2010 M/F: Pat Simowitz/Janette Lantry
Room 259 TWH: AM & PM. Pat Simowitz/Janette Lantry
Dear Parents,
Thank you for taking the time from your busy schedules to attend our open house. The children enjoyed showing you their classroom and their hard work. We enjoyed meeting with you and your extended families! Your support is truly appreciated.
Conferences are held the week of Nov. 1. It’s a good opportunity to discuss your child’s adjustment to school thus far. Remember: M+F students attend only on the day of the conference. TWH AM students attend on the day of the conference and Thursday.
TWH PM students attend on Wednesday and Thursday only. Your child stays for regular school hours, even though your conference is for 15 minutes.
Thanksgiving dominates our classes this month. Our unit covers the story of the “the big boat” (Mayflower), pilgrims, Native Americans, and turkeys. Please send a family photo (formal or informal) with your student on Mon. 11/8 or Tues. 11/9; it will be returned the same day. We will discuss the importance of family with our holiday unit. In addition to
a Native American storyteller on Mon., 11/22 and Tues., 11/23 our Tasting Feast is scheduled for those days. If you signed up to help, you will receive a call about specific details.
Please dress your child to play outside if it is dry; even though it may be chilly, the fresh air is good for all of us. Thanks for supporting your child’s growing independence in our classroom. They are succeeding in self help skills each and every time they enter; isn’t the “preschool flip” wonderful? J
Have a happy and blessed Thanksgiving!
